Rockerz Skate Guards. Create your own unique design by choosing the color of four parts. To get one pair of skate guards, you need to choose 4 parts.

Please tell us in the order instructions which brand of blades you have, the model, and the size of the blades. E.g. Brand: Ultima, Model: Legacy8, Size: 9 1/4 

Also choose between silver or gold sprinkles. If you do not specify a color, they will be silver.

The guards are assembled at no extra cost. If you do not provide us with the information, we will send them unassembled. However, to give them the correct rocker, we need to use our special tool to remove the guards. 

Information for those ordering Rockerz skate guards with Paramount or Ultima Matrix blades

We always cut and assemble the guards according to the blade model and size you specify. If you do not provide this information, we will send the guards uncut and unassembled. If you are unsure which blade and size you have, please contact us.

If you have Ultima Matrix Blades or Paramount blades, a gap will occur and the guards require special adjustment because these blades are slightly wider than a traditional blade and therefore take up more space. Consequently, you as the customer will need to do a little additional fitting to ensure that the guards fit perfectly.

1. Heating in the oven

Place a sheet of baking paper on an oven tray or in an ovenproof dish.

Place your assembled Rockerz guards upright on the baking paper. 

Preheat a household oven to 160 degrees

Place the guards in the middle of the oven for approximately 5 minutes, set a timer, and do not forget about them!

Remove them while wearing protective gloves on both hands so you do not burn yourself on the metal parts, which become hot. Quickly put the guards on your skates so that the blade surface is in contact with the “floor”/bottom of the Rockerz guards. Both the rear and front sections need to be properly positioned on the blades. Press them lightly against the floor and move them back and forth in a stepping motion. You may need to apply some force to do this. You can also try putting on your skates and walking lightly with the guards on. It is important that the guards are fitted correctly. Let the guards cool completely before removing them from the blades. 

2. Alternative without oven heating, a faster alternative, but it takes longer to see results

You can also choose to lubricate the guards with sewing machine oil or baby oil. You will not get quick results, but as you use your guards, the gap between the two parts will gradually decrease as the blade sinks farther and farther into the guards.
